Essentra Pharmacy was established in 2016. However, our roots run deep.  Our sister location Uptown Pharmacy, has served Westerville and the surrounding central Ohio area for over 100 years, Uptown Pharmacy has provided care and has touched the lives of many patients. Now, Essentra Pharmacy is doing the same in Morrow County.

We prefer to be on a first-name basis and will strive to provide you with healthcare services that meet your specific needs. You can expect to receive the hometown pharmacy feeling while still receiving the most advanced products, services, and information. We also understand that time is precious, so we work efficiently to get your prescriptions ready in a quick but safe manner. Max J. Peoples, Jr. acquired Uptown Pharmacy in March 1985 and has continued to grow the pharmacy to become a staple within the Westerville community while providing the most advanced pharmacy care and services. In 2015, Max was approached with the opportunity to provide care to a community that was without a pharmacy. After multiple discussions with Mr. Jack Fishburn, Essentra Pharmacy was allowed to move into The Cardinal Center building at Morrow County Hospital. Mr. Fishburn was very kind to let us move into the community room that was previously dedicated to his late wife, Mrs. Karen Fishburn. Mrs. Fishburn desired to have The Cardinal Center provide outstanding quality healthcare to the community that she loved. Therefore, Mr. Fishburn thought it was appropriate to have Essentra Pharmacy utilize her room to allow additional care to the community.  We are grateful to everyone who helped assemble this beautiful pharmacy and welcomed us to the community.
